Never Better is a new musical by Preston Max Allen, exploring the struggles of Davy, a college sophomore grappling with a mysterious illness that disrupts her academic and social life. As Davy's symptoms worsen, her influencer roommate April and her love interest Carter push her to confront her health issues, leading to a spiraling journey of denial and fear. The production is directed by Landree Fleming, who collaborates with a talented cast including Emma Samuelson, Melody Murray, and Liz Bollar, performing at Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre from September 7 to October 13, 2024. The musical combines folk-punk elements with a poignant look at survival and the weight of uncertainty in modern life.
