Playwrights in the Park: Spring Shorts and Sweets is a presentation of five short original plays written by member of Playwrights@Work, a writers group affiliated with Birmingham Village Players.Each play will be presented live outdoors as stage readings on Friday, May 21 at 7pm with a rain date of Saturday, May 22 at 7pm. The event will take place in the rear (north side) of Nativity Episcopal Church, 21220 W. 14 Mile Road in Bloomfield Township. Because this is an outdoor experience, guests are asked to please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Doorstechnically the drivewayopen at 6:30pm. Due to the size of the venue, attendance will be limited to the first 160 people. At the time of this writing, masks should be worn on arrival, during the event, and at departure. Physical distancing is required. This may change as COVID mandates are altered.The event is free, but donations are appreciated. The money raised will be split equally between Village Players and Nativity Episcopal Church.
