Written by Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang, “Chinglish” is a hilarious comedy about the challenges of doing business in a country where the language and underlying cultural assumptions can be worlds apart from those of the West. The play tells the adventures of Daniel, a businessman from the Midwest, who hopes to establish his family's sign-making business in China. Through a comic exchange, he learns what is lost and found in translation. “Chinglish” runs March 24-April 9, 2017 at The Aurora Fox.
Season 32 at The Aurora Fox Arts Center opens Friday, October 7, with the musical “Dracula.” Running through May 2017, the season also includes “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess,” “Myth,” “Chinglish,” and “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.” Tickets are available at aurorafoxartscenter.org or by calling 303-739-1970.
