Auditions for FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

SMTC is pleased to announce audition dates for Fiddler on the Roof:
Audition Dates:
Sunday June 10th at 1pm
Monday June 11th at 7pm
Callbacks: Wednesday June 13th at 7pm
Audition Info:
You can come to either audition date. All roles require basic dance/movement ability. Everyone who auditions will be required to participate in the dance call. The dance call will start right at 1pm for Sunday and right at 7pm for Monday. Everyone will dance first and then sing/act in order of sign in.
Singing Requirements: You will need to have one song prepared, with sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided. Please do not sing anything from the show. Your song should not exceed 2 minutes. You might also be asked to do a monologue, not to exceed 1 minute, so please have one prepared.

Use the parking lot entrance off of 40th Street, just north of Camelback. Park at the west end of the lot and follow the sidewalk past the gym and to the entrance of the theatre.

Following its Spring 2012 production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, SMTC presents the enduring classic musical Fiddler on the Roof for a special engagement. Performances will take place at SMTC’s new home, the intimate 300-seat Dorrance Auditorium on the beautiful campus at Phoenix Country Day School (3901 E. Stanford Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253). Show dates are Thursday, August 16th at 7:30PM; Friday, August 17th at 8PM; Saturday, August 18th at 2PM and 8PM and concluding Sunday, August 19th @ 2PM.
One of the most beloved musicals of all time, Fiddler on the Roof, with its memorable songs “If I Were a Rich Man”, “To Life”, “Sunrise Sunset”, “Matchmaker”, “Miracles of Miracles” and “Far From the Home I Love” has been seen in countries all over the world in dozens of different languages. Fiddler will be directed and staged by SMTC founder David Hock with Adam Stich (Director of Music at Scottsdale Community College) conducting the full 20-piece live orchestra.
