HOW THE WORLD BEGAN - Boulder Ensemble Theatre

Auditions for BETC's regional premiere of HOW THE WORLD BEGAN by

Catherine Trieschmann, directed by Producing Ensemble Director Stephen

Weitz, will be held on Monday, May 14th, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Newman Center at the Denver Center Theatre Company. Please review the character descriptions below, and submit your headshot and resume via e-mail to
info@boulderensembletheatre.org to be considered. If the director would like to see you, you will be contacted with further details about the audition. You may be asked to present a monologue(s) or read sides from the play.

Available Roles:

Susan Pierce: female, 30's, a liberal New Yorker teaching in rural Kansas, 5 months pregnant

Micah Staab: male, 16, an intelligent if confused young man who has just lost his only relative in the tornado that destroyed his town

Gene Dinkel: male, 50's-60's, Micah's temporary guardian, a warm-hearted,

salt-of-the-earth kind of guy trying to make peace between Susan and Micah

Rehearsals for HOW THE WORLD BEGAN will begin on or around October

1st. Show runs November 1st through 17th.

All positions are paid. AEA and non-AEA will be considered.
