Auditions June 24,25, & 26 from 7:30-10pm

ROLES:

Seymour - Male; Tenor

Audrey - Female; Mezzo-soprano or Soprano

Seymour’s co-worker in the flower shop. Not well educated, a bit of an airhead with very low self-esteem. Also true of heart and sweet.

ushnick - Male; Baritone (though a Bass or Tenor would be fine.)
Owner of the failing Skid Row flower shop. Jewish, middle class New Yorker.

Dentist (Orin) - Male; Baritone or Bass
[Dentist and Mushnick usually re-appear during "The Meek Shall Inherit" as different characters, often in drag.]. Audrey’s egotistical, insensitive, abusive, sadistic, dentist boyfriend.

The Plant (Audrey II) - Baritone or Bass; preferably able to sing "soulful" or "jazzy."?

Female Trio - Crystal, Ronnette, and Chiffon - Soprano, Mezzo-soprano, and Alto (who sings what harmony is flexible.) These roles require three ladies with a GOOD sense of pitch.?

CHORUS: Residents of Skid Row, bums, customers,?????????? etc.

Music Audition Requirements:

Please prepare ONE [1] song with accompaniment*, preferably from a "Broadway" show**, that effectively demonstrates your vocal abilities. As a part of the audition you may be asked to sing a selection from Little Shop of Horrors.?
*It is HIGHLY preferred that the song you bring in has an accompaniment in the form of either:?
- Sheet music to give to a rehearsal pianist.?
- An mp3 or CD recording of the accompaniment. This recording can be on your phone or iPod too.?
- A "Karaoke" version?
- ABSOLUTELY NO "SINGING ALONG" TO A TRACK WITH PRE-RECORDED VOCALS. As in DON'T SHOW UP AND SING ALONG to a CD. The only voice we should hear is your own.?
** Music preferred is to be from a theatrical production (opera or musical theatre). Though you may sing a pop or secular song if you feel it better shows off your voice.?
There will also be cold readings from the script. All actors will have to learn and perform a short choreographed number
