Is very proud to announce auditions for the Spectacular Broadway Extravaganza SWING!

Swing! is an enthralling song and dance show that makes it abundantly clear that swing was never a time or a place----it has always been a state of mind! “Two thirds rhythm and one third soul.” That’s how Fats Waller defined the uniquely American form of popular music and dance known as “swing.”

Casting:

Principals, A Singing Ensemble and a strong Dancing Ensemble

Ages: Adults and Young Adults (Jr. High School Age and older)

Seeking 25-30 dancer-singers or dancers and singers in the style of Big Band; Jazz, Swing, Jive, Lindy Hop, etc. There are opportunities for vocal and dance solos!

When: Sunday, February 24, 2019: Registration: 3:00-3:30 pm

Auditions: 3:30-6:30 pm

Please come to auditions prepared to sing “Bounce Me Brother” (ALL women) and “Throw That Girl Around” (ALL men). Please also prepare one of the following songs of your choice;

Women: “Two and Four” (Soprano) “I’ll Be Seeing You” (Mezzo) “Cry Me A River” (Alto)

Men: “It Don’t Mean A Thing” “All of Me” “Kitchen Mechanics Night Out” (Baritone range)

Please be prepared to be at auditions the entire time stated. No appointments. Bring non-returnable photo and resume. Adults and young adults will be taught a dance combination. Please dress appropriately.
