Ken Harrower, a disabled artist and singer who identifies as gay, invites the audience on a powerful journey, starting with his early years in the small town of Flin Flon, Manitoba. He reflects on the challenges of growing up with a disability and navigating the foster care system. Defying societal limitations, Ken eventually leaves the prairies behind and finds his true place in Toronto’s vibrant LGBTQIA+ community. His recent show, Access Me, showcased his artistic talent, earning three Dora Award nominations, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble and Outstanding New Play, and winning Best Direction.
