Blair Ingenthron

Blair is the Weekend News Desk Editor / Special Projects Coordinator at BroadwayWorld. She has worked in various capacities in the theatre industry, with companies such as Davenport Theatrical Enterprises, Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, SpotCo, and 54 Below. 

She is also a playwright. Her plays include Cosplay (Brick Theater), The Gatekeeper, and Dead Children’s Playground. Blair holds a B.A. with Honors in English Language and Literature (Writing Concentration) from Pace University and has studied at the Einhorn School of Performing Arts at Primary Stages and The New Group with playwrights Melissa Ross, Leah Nanako Winkler, Julian Sheppard, Rogelio Martinez, and Marsha Norman, among others. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Blair currently resides in Upper Manhattan.

Vagabond Players' BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS Cancelled; SPEED-THE-PLOW to Replace, Runs 4/16 Thru 5/16

Brighton Beach Memoirs is being pulled from the Vagabond Players current season. Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet, directed by Steve Goldklang will be its replacement. Performances will run from April 16, 2010 until May 16, 2010.

Taproot Theatre's annual holiday production will go on despite the October 23 fire. Taproot Theatre brings the hit play It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play back to the stage as it holds its holiday production at the Stage One Theatre at North Seattle Community College. Unable to find a venue that could accommodate the world premiere of John Longenbaugh's Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Christmas Carol, Taproot Theatre brings back one of the most popular Christmas plays in its history. Adapted for the stage by Joe Landry and directed by Karen Lund, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play runs November 27 through December 30, with a pay-what-you-can performance on November 25. There are no preview performances.

Pennington Players Present A CHRISTMAS STORY at Kelsey Theatre, 11/27 - 12/6

The Pennington Players will usher in the holiday season with the slightly-twisted, but totally lovable classic, 'A Christmas Story,' at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Fridays, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. An opening night reception with the cast and crew follows the Nov. 27 performance. Patrons may drop off donations for the 'Toys for Tots' holiday gift drive in the theatre lobby through Dec. 21.
